SKODA Tow bar OCTAVIA II

When nothing more fits inside your car or on top of its roof, its time for a tow bar. The arm with tow ball can be installed and removed easily, and it can be used for towing trailers of up to 750kg (unbraked) or 1,700kg (braked). However, the maximum load differs depending on the model of the car, where it's fitted. The maximum allowed weight can be found in the cars documentation. The tow ball's maximum vertical load is 75kg, the D-value is 9,6kN. The set includes fixing material and tow coupling for the trailer. Replacement parts for the set (tow arm, EEA 600 011 lock) can be ordered from SKODA Genuine Accessories. A 13-pin socket has to be ordered for the set. For installation in cars manufactured after CW42/2008, check the SW status of Gateway control unit. Its value has to be higher than 0177. If it isn't, re-flash the unit.
